Google hasnβt yet confirmed if the gesture will be the default mode to activate Gemini Live or if it will be one among the options
Google is working on a new shortcut to activate Gemini Live on Android, according to a report by Android Authority that states users will be able to summon Gemini with a gesture.
The outlet spotted a feature in the 16.2.39 version with which users can swipe diagonally from the bottom corners of the screen for Gemini Live. Once the AI assistant comes up, the conversation begins in full-screen mode.
Until now, users have to tap on the Gemini Live button, the Gemini app or on an overlay. Android users can also activate Gemini with the βHey Googleβ voice command.
