AI-related jobs seem to be among the most in demand and lucrative for young professionals. The rising interest in such jobs has led to a surge in online searches about such job openings and details about the average pay.

According to the latest study by US-based tech company TRG Datacentres, the most in-demand AI jobs for 2025 are machine learning engineering. The report states that this role offers the highest salary opportunities. Besides, there is a considerable interest in robotics engineering with a focus on AI and computer vision engineering roles.

The study examined 17 diverse AI roles, ranging from technical positions such as machine learning engineers to non-technical roles like AI product managers. Later, the jobs were ranked by the scores to identify roles that are in high demand, financially rewarding, and most popular among job seekers.
Based on the report, machine learning engineering is the most popular role with a score of 72. The role commands the highest average salary of $161K annually. ML engineering showed 16K job openings with 43K monthly searches, which is also the second-highest search volume on the list. The score and the figures suggest that there is a strong market interest in machine learning engineering roles in the US.

The average salary for computer vision engineers has been listed as $127.5K per annum.

The third and fourth spots were secured by robotics engineering (AI focus) and deep learning specialists, respectively. Robotics engineering scored 55 and claims incredible popularity with 55.6K monthly searches and an average salary of $119.1K. Deep learning professionals earning a score of 50 with 19K job openings and an average salary of $119.1K. Natural language processing (NLP) engineering ranked fifth with a score of 36, 6K job openings, and an average salary of $156K.

The report highlights how rising demand for specialised AI roles across industries driven by rapid technological advancements is offering more opportunities for tech professionals.
