Secutech Automation has worked with Affix Center since 2015, when we first placed IT staff with the company. As the engagement grew, management wanted a clear picture of every device on the office network and a proper, standards-based architecture for the future.

The starting point

The existing setup included a firewall with two internet lines, NAS storage, dedicated servers, laptops, desktops, wireless dongles, access control, CCTV and switches. The client asked for an audit report covering every device and whether it was in active use.

What we did

1. Device audit. We checked every device on the network and reported which were in active use and which were not.

2. Network design. We then designed the full network path, layer by layer:

  1. ISP to firewall: secure, stable internet connectivity.
  2. Firewall to switch: a reliable, high-performance switch for smooth data flow.
  3. Switch to Wi-Fi: wireless coverage across the office.
  4. Security systems: access control and CCTV integrated into the network.
  5. Workstations: all laptops and desktops properly connected.

Result

Secutech Automation now has a complete picture of its IT assets and a network design that follows industry best practice. The new architecture improves efficiency, protects business data and gives the company a strong base to grow on.
