Pegasus International operates offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. When management suspected that confidential business data was being misused, they needed facts they could act on, gathered in a way that was lawful and properly authorised. They asked Affix Center to investigate.

What we did

• Set clear boundaries first. Work started only after the owner gave written authorisation. The scope was limited to company-owned devices and business email accounts.
• Audited devices and email. Our team reviewed the in-scope devices and mailboxes for signs of data being moved outside the business.
• Documented the findings. The review found that company resumes and job-requirement data had been forwarded from a company device to external addresses without authorisation. Every finding was recorded so management could act on clear evidence.

Result

With documented findings in hand, the company was able to address the misuse and tighten its data-handling controls. Pegasus International then appointed Affix Center for an ongoing e-security and AMC contract.

This audit covered company-owned devices and business systems only. It was carried out with the owner's written authorisation and in line with applicable law.
